Research Survey
Transitional Ministry Training and Support Survey
Description of the Researcher & Project
Researcher Since 2012 I have served as a transitional ministry leader in the Presbyterian Church USA. To learn more about me click here. This research project is part of my Doctor of Ministry program at Seattle University.
Project In October 2021 approximately 250 pastors and leaders trained for transitional ministry were invited to participate in an online survey to explore the impact of their training and leadership support on their ministry today. The survey asked for additional input from leaders who attended training through TM Workshops | Menucha. The purpose of this research project is to a). help develop practical resources to support pastors serving in transitional leadership roles, and b). offer helpful feedback to the faculty of TM Workshops.
Benefits of the project Although there is no direct benefit to survey respondents for taking part in this study, the researcher hopes to learn more about what is needed to sustain a long-term pastoral commitment to leading transitional ministry today.
