Fair Trade Summer Beach Bags from Thailand
My daughter Madeline and I share a love for Thailand. We find deep delight in the artistry, culture, and innovation of the people who call Thailand home. Recently we partnered with an outstanding fair trade organization in Chiang Mai to produce a high quality carry-all bag.
The bags arrived this week and we can't wait to share them with you! We're looking for a few people to try out one of the bags and offer us feedback before the bags go to market. Let us know if you’re interested.
In the meantime, to learn more about the people behind this product please check out Thai Village Inc at thaivillage.org or find them on Instagram and other social sites.
Here's a story from ThaiVillageInc on Instagram:
What does it mean to be a good neighbor? This is something that we are continuing to explore in the changing circumstances surrounding Covid and the loss of jobs and pay checks as we now see in Chiang Mai.
We have been blessed with a staff who love. They love their neighbors. They love to serve. And we want to share how God is moving right now through simple people.
In the last few weeks, our team has made it a top priority to share handmade masks with the people in their communities, those who otherwise would have difficulty finding access to a mask.
This has been an encouragement to all of us to serve as we are able. Even small acts of kindness can have big results, and though it’s easy for us to want to try to help everyone and strive to reach all these different people, our team has reminded us of the power of being faithful. Faithful with the skills we have and with the people God has put in front of us.
We ask for your continued prayers as we navigate what this will look like in the coming weeks and months as the economy in Thailand takes a hit. Please pray for the well-being of our staff and that His love can shine through us for His glory.
